Deering Line ran underneath bridge, ran on or near N. Levitt Street, crossed Diversey Pkwy, then terminated at W. Oakley Street. A powerplant there and possibly other industries received freight cars.The area on the other side of the Damen Bridge is now the Lathrop Homes housing project. Some industry still exists along the riover near Oakley Street.
