1917 Clybourn shot

Hi,

Hope everyone can see this.  Here's an amazing shot of the old Clybourn station from the CNW historical society.

Looks like the CNW used to move a lot of pickles back in the day on the northside.

Hmm good catch.  This one has me somewhat disoriented.  Is it looking north?  Budlong Pickle had a rail-served plant on Besley Court just south of Cortland that was rail-served but that would be too far north in this photo.  That building is still there and in the 1980s was an early microbrewery, producing Legacy Lager by the Chicago Brewing Company.

Here's the caption they added:
"We are back in Chicago and once again at Clybourn station, the first station to the north and northwest of downtown Chicago. This Stecher (C&NW employee) photo was probably taken about 1917. Straight ahead of us is today's Metra North line while the today's Metra Northwest line veers away from the station just past the station. The building on the far right of the photo still stands and was originally, as you can see, a pickle plant which took cucumbers from a lot of farmers along the north and northwest lines."
