Goose Island Bridge Closed

Drove by the bridge on North Ave and there was a big sign covering the brige opening to Goose Island saying bridge closed. Any idea if there is repair work going on or is this end of service altogether to Big Bay?

I drove by Big Bay Lumber tonight (Monday) and there was an empty, black bulkhead flatcar parked on Cherry next to the lumber yard.  So the bridge closing might mean closed to pedestrians for construction of something safer and more suitable for people walking over it.
