CTR had a covered hopper for Peerless yesterday and picked up a the tank.  Was happy to finally catch them on the Lakewood branch.  I will put more picture online later, but this one sums up the day.  Let\'s just say the tow truck company was making a lot of money yesterday!!  Not sure who the suit is...

Hi,

He said he was the owner...but that doesn\'t really make sense.  I thought that was Ed Ellis.  Anyways, he asked the railfans at Peerless for a ride back to the city but I wanted to follow the train, rather than make a straight shot to the city.  At Clyborn by the Men\'s Warehouse he saw a cab and got a ride that way.  I guess his own train was  just too slow for him.

So, has the last train to Peerless now run?  Did they pick up the hopper on Thursday?

They actually had two hoppers on Tuesday, but left one in the yard.  My guess is that one will go to Peerless when the one set out there on Tuesday is empty.  Just a guess...

Thanks Tom!  The contractors were very confused when they saw the headlights.  Then, the big truck got stuck on the tracks.  Luckly the CTR was waiting for a tow truck which gave the contractors 15-20 minutes to get moving. If you ever want to use any photos I post here on the web site, feel free to use them.

I\'m getting in a little late on this topic -- hope it\'s not a problem -- but I gotta love the \"No Parking on Train Days\" signs...!  The towing company must love \"train days\"...!
