What type of steam engines were used on these urban, tight clearance lines like Kingsbury, Goose Island, Navy Pier, etc.
Switchers, moguls, ten-wheelers?

The Milwaukee Road generally used I-series, 0-6-0 locomotives for their North Side freight operations based at the Division Street Yard on Goose Island. Larger locomotives made the transfer runs from Galewood Yard to the Division Street Yard and back via the Bloomingdale Line.
