Good catch. All of them are interesting photos plus they move up the date of active rail service to Tempel from 1989 to 1993. The latest I was able to verify before was 1989. It also answers the question about what was moved in and out of the plant-outbound scrap metal. Has that business since shifted to trucks?
Makes you wonder if the C&NW/UP forced the issue on Tempel Steel with surcharges to drive away potentially unprofitable business on the North Line as they did with Farley Candy and Crafty Beaver on the Skokie Subdivision.
