I came across your website and got interested when I saw the pictures, since I spent several years of my childhood living in the triangle these streets encompass.
My name is Melvin E. Giles and I am the author of \"George Street, Our Street\" a hardcover novel which describes growing up on Lakewood and then moving around the corner to the meat packing area on George Street.
 I regret that I do not possess many pictures of the area; only those which remain in my mind, and in the pages of my novel.  I would be glad to converse with any interested parties, about those \"good old days\" of the \"forties\" and the locations of various companies in that area.
