Hi to all members of this group.
I have only recently joined but have been a railfan & Railroad Modeler of SOO LINE in \"HO\" for many years.
I\'ve also viewed the \"N\" Modeling articles in Model Railroader mag
& you guy\'s are truly superb modelers.
I\'ve viewed the photos on the main page many times.
This site is Great.
Heaps of articles on the Chicago Switching operations.
Do any of the former Steel Yards customers still recieve rail service
or is this area now without any rail customers at all?

Thanks to all.

Many Thanks to all.
Regards.
Pete.

Finkl Steel receives several gondola and an occasional flatcar from CP Rail at their main plant at Cortland and Kingsbury each week.  A short stub of the Deering Line is used to access the plant.

Excelsior Steel has been gone for decades.  It used to be on Goose Island.

that\'s true, Sipi Metals is still a rail-served customer.  They get a couple of gondolas per week.
