Great pic! Not too many pics I've found of this.  It is the Soo Line freight terminal that was at Roosevelt and Canal, where the Walgreen's and Dominick's currently sit. Here are a few pics I've found on Flickr:

Looks like the sign for the building is now at the Railway Museum in Union, IL.

Also, on 14th place there is still a small bit of trackage poking through the pavement that lead to this terminal.

That's right, it was elevated!!  I was young but I still remember that freight house.  Thanks for sharing the other shots.
