Kingsbury Branch question
« on: July 17, 2008, 01:28:56 PM »
Hi All,

Anyone seen or know where I could obtain an MILW engineering dwg or track plan of this district, say 1950s-60s era?  Would like some modeling references (spur loactions/customer) for planning a \'Kingsbury-like\' layout.

Everything I\'ve found, so far, just shows a black line down the east bank of the canal/river, or mentions this or that customer, but no detailed spur info.  Have seen aerial views of snippets of remaining tracks as they appear today.

Thanks,

Charlie

Charlie:

go to one of the following: Chicago History Museum, local public library. check to see if they subscribe to sanborn maps.. if they do, them you can get most of the track configuration from the maps.
