off-topic but interesting: today pointing SW on the former IC line from Gilman to Gibson City an apparently local CN freight lead by an orange (EJ&E?) road switcher followed by a CN road switcher followed by a gleaming Metra FP40 !!

My guess is the Metra locomotive was heading somewhere for service or it had been sold to another transit agency like MARC.  They are not geared for freight service.
