I was hoping that they would include a plug for this website.
They missed a favorite train watching location-Rondout in the north suburbs where you can watch Amtrak, two Metra lines, CP Rail, WSOR, and EJ&E trains all from the vantage point of a footbridge over the CP/Metra/Amtrak mainline.
The footbridge spans the original Chicago, North Shore, and Milwaukee (North Shore Line) Mundelein branch and uses the interurban\'s old bridge footings.
