Damen Ave Bridge on Bloomingdale Line

I\'m looking at the Bloomingdale line bridge over Damen Ave, and it looks pretty large.  Can anyone tell me why?

damen ave. was formerly called robey st., on the southwest corner of the intersection formed by damen ave. and the bloomingdale line was the line\'s stub-end \"robey st. yard\" running West from damen, about 17 years ago myself and two friends did our my best spiderman impressions and scaled the 8\' retaining wall, I found myself in a quiet urban oasis if not a time-warp, the few tracks were intact though weed and sapling-choked and sloped gradually down to grade-level, obviously many years out of use, the damen bridge is wider than most (double track) on the line to accommodate extra lead track(s) for switching traffic into the yard, I don\'t recall the exact #,  the yard is now occupied by modern urban housing like much of Northside\'s domain
