Illinois Northern Railway
« on: August 22, 2004, 09:49:36 PM »
I realize the Illinois Northern Railway, is not North Side, but I will shake the branches here to see what falls out anyway.

Info on the Illinois Northern Railway, looks very slim at first glance. I have a Map (fairly detailed), the Roster, and 2 different Alco Pictures, and they were absorbed into the ATSF. Beyond that nothing. I am looking for all kinds of info, if I can find it. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

After a lot of though, I think I will be working in both HO and N Scale, HO will go in the House (I am thinking Illinois Northern), and N Scale (Kingsbury Branch) will go on the 2nd floor of the Barn, after it is built next year.

Thanks,

Ron,

Do you have any plans for the Kingsbury Branch?  Are you going to build the same stretch as mapped in the April 75 MR (the area that Bill Denton models), or are you going to shoot for a few blocks north?

RP:

The Shortlines of Chicago Historical Society covers the Illinois Northern Railway on their website and in the quarterly newsletter that the group puts out.  You can join or read about the group at:
