Nothing at Big Bay on Sunday when driving by but there were 7 loads of scrap metal in the yard waiting to be sent out.

I've noticed lately at the North Ave Yard UP sets out a couple of box cars right next to the yard of the business that has bricks, cement blocks etc..., can't remember the name of the business thats on Elston. Does anyone know if this business is receiving their shipments from UP? Seems like they are receiving shipments with the location being prime adjacent to the yard.

Seeing a lot of more box cars in North Ave yard lately. Printing must be increasing at Freedom Plant for Tribune now that they're printing the Sun Times also.

North Ave yard looked empty Sunday night but when I came back over Ohio Feeder saw a large cut of boxcars at the Tribune Freedom Center yard. Must have dropped them there Friday for Monday morning job.

Looks like Bay Lumber has been busy. 3 empties attached to the outgoing train in North Ave Yard waiting to go back to Proviso.

Going down Cortland you can see the building is completely gutted like it is in the process of being renovated. Maybe it is a new business that can be serviced by rail?
