The gon was probably used as a "handle extension" for tight switching places
or buildings not allowing the engine clearance.

That rail looks awfully light - I'd guess it's a surface line.
May not be a lot of traffic that time of day?
Or it's a staged photo - get in, get out before the streetcar arrives?

The Link does not work.

Just full black screen with blue and pink rotating dots in center....

EDIT:  As of 2-22-12 @ 12:15pm, link is non-existant now - browser cannot find that URL and aborts.

Yep.  South end of the re-habed Goose Is. MILW Rd. bridge Z-2, looking North.

Since I get errors trying to edit my original post - time limit(?), I\'ll add it here.

This is the prototype in the 70s, I\'d guess.  I has a different roof horn, MARS light and no bell on the hood - probably under frame mounted or maybe electronic?

Looks like the engineer\'s door has been replaced from a donor too.

BLI Paragon 2.  BLI\'s MILW HO-scale version is out of production, so I bought the PRR model (all one color and no stripe \'ghost\' lines) and stripped it bare and re-painted/decaled it for #623 SW7 in mid-50s look.  No MARS, still has pneumatic bell, unique stack arrestors/mufflers for close urban canyons.

Was wondering if MILW used any sml/med Alco switchers in C&E South areas?

Also note that this PDF is SECURED and will only view.  It will not print out or edit.  Acrobat needs the \"key\" from the file\'s creator to manipulate the file other than screen viewing in Acrobat or Reader.

If you need a hard-copy, you could piece together multiple screen grabs, I suppose.

Very interesting article.

Been looking for pictures in various archives and historical sites of the old freight house at the \"end\" of the Kingsbury line at Kinzie. All the photos I have are aerial from the MRHA books, and the Sanborn map info indicates 2 stories, but I have not run across any views of the front/back/sides for modeling. Any help? Would not want to just make a generic brick bldg if there was some interesting architectural details or style or ornimentation.
