UP switches the \"upper level\" of Blommer with a switch job that comes down from Kedzie Yard on the Geneva Sub. Generally it\'s the same power that serves as the CPT switcher.

It\'s not great news, but it\'s not the end of the world. The STB simply stated that the city could file the application, and that the CTR must defend itself in court, not beforehand.

Well the UP system shows delivering the car to CTM on the 29th and receiving by the CTM today. It\'s destined to be put on tomorrow night\'s YPR77 back to Proviso, but it\'s listed as loaded. Perhaps UP simply doesn\'t know what it\'ll be?

I wonder if the CTM will deliver the car tomorrow, have it unloaded, and then bring it back to North Avenue right away?

That sounds about right- the low portion of Blommer is served by the YNO68 job from North Avenue (which also does the Tribune) and the high portion is served by the YCM83 out of the California Avenue/Kedzie yard.

The upper-level job is now based out of the Keeler Avenue yard; the switcher (usually UPY 728, 729, or 1448) heads east and then goes up to the top.

I get out of class at DePaul at 11:40 AM every Tuesday and Thursday, and I made up my mind to find the Terminal running around this Thursday. Is there a usual place that they can be found around this time? I\'ll probably be on the road about noon...

I saw the train head into Elk Grove at about 9:45 PM last night. The engineer said they start at 7 PM.

General Discussion / Summary of Operations

I just recently found this site and I\'ve learned tons of things from it- really nice job you guys have done here. However I\'d be interested in a summary of what trains run and where on the various branches.

I live in the dorms at DePaul so it would be a quick bike ride to the Bloomingdale branch; I just don\'t know when trains run on here, or how far.

Would this be a possible addition to the site in the future? Thanks!
