Title: Kingsbury branch crossing at Halsted disappearing

Today the diagonal track crossing Halsted and Division was being paved over.  Not sure if it's going to be completly done, they were paving Halsted from Division to the river.

That's too bad.  Bit by bit, that section is fading away. 

Here's a photo of better times for the line at Division and Halsted.  Note the Ogden overpass which is also gone.

Tom,
Just curious...when did the Ogden Ave. overpass get truncated there? I know that Ogden used to run all the way through downtown toward LP, but then was cut back. As a Chicago transplant, wasn't sure when that all changed?

According to the City of Chicago web site, the intersection of Halsted and Division will be paved over in the spring.

Saw on Sunday they are tearing up tracks at the end where firewood was being delivered right before crossing Division.
