Why dosent the Chicago Terminal Railroad buy the Navy pier line and haul construction supplies to the Trump Tower construction site and later on rextend the line to the filteration plant and haul colriene there.

I saw on Google Earth that there are still are tracks inside the filtration plant near Navy peir.  They are on the south end next to the dock on the lake.  Could they somehow reconnect the tracks there to the remanents of the navy peir line and ship in colriene (if they still use it their) or set up some kind of frieght peir.

General Discussion / Open gate
« on: July 12, 2007, 03:17:20 PM »
Also when I was at Finkles a few days ago I saw that the gate that leads to the Lakewood branch was open.  Dose this mean that the line up Lakewood is in use?  When I saw the trip before the last up Lakewood They stopped and opened the gate.  Anyone know anything about this?

When I was near Finkles a few days ago I saw two gondolas in their siding.  One was a white Wisconsin Central gondola. The other one might have been also, I\'m not sure.

A couple days ago I was walking by Finkle steel and saw they had three self propelled rail crains.  You guys said they have only one.  Have any of you heard this before?
