Sorry about that.  There's one crossing the river bridge and a few suburban shots as well:

I was thinking the other day that this sounds kind of familiar.  I wonder if we're going to have another Whole Foods incident on our hands.  Are they just saying that General Iron is coming back on as leverage to get the most cash for the ROW from the trail builders?  If so, we could enjoy some nice STB reports again soon.

Thanks for the reply.  I actually asked the WRONG question.  I meant to ask if any had raised spurs to match the raised tracks.

Hi,

Does anybody know of any industries served at grade level along the elevated Kenosha subdivision or did the tracks have to descend for each industry in Chicago.

Thanks!

Looks like Chicago's eyeing some more former Milwaukee Road traffic for bike trails:

I should clarify a few more details.  It was stripped of wiring by thieves, NOT the Chicago Terminal.  General Iron allegedly was no longer interested in rail service for some time.  But, according to this individual they may be once again.  Not sure if the link will work but you can try clicking here:

We'll see what comes of all this.

According to facebook (so take it for what it's worth) a worker for the Chicago Terminal says that the bridge has been stripped of its wiring and is no longer in service.  General Iron hasn't received a load in over a year.  Sipi is all that is left.  Can't imagine why the CT even exists there any more!

I wonder if it's this guy.  It's been used in MOW service for some time.  This picture is from last November.  (I'd assume it's used between the North Ave Yard, where things are stored, and Ravenswood, where the work was being done.

Hi,

We've heard a lot about what's closed down in Chicago.  Just curious, is Alpha Baking still receiving loads?  Anybody got pictures of their operations?

Thanks!
