Title: Unused CN (Soo) Bridge in Melrose Park Site of Teen Drowning

In the background is the bridge in question.

It was used to connect the Soo and later WC to the CSX Altenheim Subdivision that goes along the Eisenhower Expressway.  The CN section is now out of service.

The family of the lost boy said they want the bridge destroyed. I didn't know it was out of service. I remember this line running down next to Triton college.

I go down 1st Ave a lot to see family on the SW side, every time I pass the CSX tracks I always see a dozen or more people hanging around that bridge.  Seems to have become a really popular recreation place.
