Happy New Year All!
Did MILW use specially marked cars for LCL or \"Merchandise Service\"
or \"Time Saver\" like PRR and B&O, etc. in the 50s-60s? Have not found
any pics yet.
Special lettering or marks, stars, bars, stripes or something?
TIA,
Charlie

ANY hints or suggestions? Please, Anyone??
I\'m getting \"blank stares\" from two other MILW newsgroups as well.
-
Can I assume the answer is no then?

Hi,
Just wanted to let you know that the lack of response probably means people don\'t know rather than anything person. Hope you find your answer and be sure to post pictures of your progress (track plans, rolling stock so far, layout, etc)
Good Luck

Charlie,
Got off my rear and forwarded this to some other folks who may be able to help. I\'ll let you know if I get a response.

Thanks guys. :)
Have seen old pics of the Galewood LCL, but only shows boxcar end views and can\'t see any MILW car sides.

Now we\'ve got something conclusive from a MILW expert. Here\'s the response:
\"As far as I know now special paint job on LCL cars. Some rib side
cars had load devises for double decking and received possibly some
lettering. Also a group of early 1937 boxcars was used in LCL
service, but no special paint.\"

Thanks!! Sort of what I suspected, but wanted another viewpoint.
Appreciate it SF. :)

Just also heard back from Bob Storozuk at MRHA and he comfirms this also; no special markings
on MILW rolling stock used for LCL ops.
