Hello everyone,

I am looking for more information on the Sandman train. I have found a few links and photos, but nothing on the Northside of Chicago. I know they had two that ran out of Janesville and Beloit Wisconsin. If anyone can give me information on it I would appreciate it. I am modeling the train. I am using some old AHC ore cares that were my grandfathers that are over 35 years old. I have re stenciled them with CNW and in the process of converting them to Kadee 502 trucks. I just need to get a CNW locomotive too.

Thanks

There is a residential developmet in the area now. I know the spur was gone as of last year along with the building. I saw it from ground level last summer. I was on site.

If I would have cut class to watch trains when I was attending Gordon Tech my behind would have been in a sling from both my parents and the dean.

Hi every one the name is cpcolin. I am currently residing in NW Burbs. I lived on the NW side most of my life by the Weber Line. I have watched Mayfair Lumber switched by CNW and the UP. I found your site a while back on the links page on a train club page. I just want to say that this site is a gem. Keep up the good work.
