I have noticed them switching a large number of gon\'s in the North Ave yard on Saturdays also. One Saturday there were close to 30 gon\'s with loads of scrap steel.

Must have worked over the holiday weekend because the spur was empty by Monday. Can see the new transformer by Comed and the rust on the rails has been shined up a little.

Coming in on Metra this morning to Downtown I noticed that the Grayland south spur that has stood empty for years and years had a tank car and an electric generator on a flatcar. Almost didn\'t see it but caught it out of the corner of my eye as we were pulling out of the station going into downtown. Could be the area factories are finally seeing the benfit of the team track siding that is available to them in the area. There is a spur on the north and south side lines by Grayland. The north line spur was used by a brick/cement supply company that use to be on Addison directly next to the spur.

I guess dead track can come back to life again. Would be nice to see some new customers for Chgo Terminal so there would be more to report again.

Chicago Terminal was busy at work on Sunday at 2:00PM in the North Ave Yard arranging gons. Saw it while driving past on the Kennedy. There must have been at least 30 Gons on two tracks with 15 having what looked like scrap steel loads. Maybe business is starting to pick up.

Riding my bike on Elston Ave. the other day I saw them removing the overhang/awning over the spur track where they use to unload by Aetna Plywood.

Drove by the bridge on North Ave and there was a big sign covering the brige opening to Goose Island saying bridge closed. Any idea if there is repair work going on or is this end of service altogether to Big Bay?

Saw them laying the new concrete in the street where the rails use to go into the building this morning. All evidence gone except for the doors themselves which are large enough to show boxcars once went inside.
