Title: Freedom Train and IC yards
Post by: themats on July 01, 2017, 09:40:03 AM
Things look a little bit different today.  Interesting to see that the IC was still using rails out at the extreme eastern end.

Good catch.  That must have been the longest train ever on the C&NW Navy Pier line.

I recall seeing a tank car on the IC tracks in the late 1980s near Randolph toward Columbus, before the area was covered over in parks.  Most of the freight tracks had been ripped out by then.
